Uni Rent car rental - Dubrovnik

I want to start off by saying I hate car rental businesses. Seems like they always operate as a scam. They lure you in with a low price. Only to find out when you pick up the car that there are hidden fees like mandatory insurance. And only to find out when you return the car that try and scam you for damage that was already there or fines charged to your credit card that didn't happen. So I had done my due diligence before renting from Uni Rent. We were renting in Dubrovnik, but travelling to 3 other countries or border crossings. We wanted unlimited KM. We already had insurance with our credit card. This place seemed well reviewed. I was expecting to be a bad surprise somewhere along the way... which never came. Everything was perfect. No hidden fees. No mandatory insurance. The car (a VW Polo) had 40 000 km and was in immaculate condition. Staff were friendly. We extended our trip mid-rental with no problem. No haggle of fees or fake fines when returning the car. Have I found one of the few remaining honest car rental companies? According to my experience, I believe so. Highly recommend.

Did a lot of research on Croatian rental car companies as had heard a lot horror stories. Uni-rent were the best!! Fast & efficient on pick-up, we got an automatic car and it was in great condition, the guy explained everything to us about coverage and tips for driving the car. Drop off was just as easy & we had no issues at all during our 10+ day hire. Price was also good, no hidden fees, with border crossings included. Would highly recommend :)

We had a very positive experience renting a car from Uni Rent in Dubrovnik and returning it in Zagreb. Dubrovnik reservation manager Moro Markov gave us a great price, which waived one way fee to Zagreb, included free green card/border crossing, and a very reasonably-priced coverage (SCDW, WUG, TP). When we came to the office, the service was fast. Not only there were no hidden fees – it was the opposite: when I asked for an extra item, which is usually not free, I was told that the Uni Rent can include it for free. The car was virtually new, and that was a free upgrade from Ford Ecosport to Audi A3. Return in Zagreb was also great. It took just a minute or two to sign the documents, and then they drove us in our car to the terminal.

These guys are really fair, friendly, and fast. They got us a automatic car for a good price. I made sure to do a recording of the vechicle to document previous damage. Because I hear so many negative things from certain car agencies. These guys didn't hassle me at all. They gave us a nice, clean, and well maintained vechicle safe for road trips. Seems like from my experience they are an honest and reputable rental agency. For me thats all I care about.

I rented a car from this company and drove from Dubrovnik to Zadar. A warning light appeared, which turned out to be low tire pressure. The company quickly responded and guided me through what to do. Mr. Anđelinić , who helped me at pickup, was professional, friendly, and very responsive by email. Later, when I accidentally scratched the car, he calmly explained everything and reassured me since I had full insurance. I’ve rented cars in Korea, the Philippines, Canada, and Japan, but this company is truly exceptional. Their professionalism and kindness made me love Croatia even more 🥹 Highly recommended — reliable and trustworthy!
