excellent car rent service. We booked the car the day before the trip via the website. Everything was great. All the documents were processed the next day in the office. The office staff told us everything, showed us everything. The car is in good condition. During the trip, we had a flat tire. We called them for service and told them the situation. Soon an employee of the company came to us, brought us a new car and wished us a good day. It was a Sunday and almost 2 hours drive from Rijeka. We were satisfied with the service. We will definitely use it again. Friendly and professional staff, good cars and very nice price

NEVER rent from Sixt in Slovenia! We returned our car to the Ljublijana airport. The attendant told us the car was fine. We noticed when returning the car the employees were racing the Sixt cars around the airport. We were shocked that Sixt employees were so reckless with the company's cars. Never rent a car from Sixt in Rijeka! I have rented cars all over the world, but Sixt Rijeka was by far the worst experience I have ever had. Firstly, the opening hours of the Rijeka office are a joke; don't expect anyone to be there unless you call them in advance. On Monday at around 3 pm, I had to wait outside the office for half an hour for someone to appear, who I just handed the keys to on the street. He seemed legitimate, so I proceeded with him, but he did not provide me with any confirmation that the car had been returned at that point (which was definitely my own naivety). It took three calls to Sixt and two weeks to receive the final invoice and confirmation that the car had been returned undamaged with a full tank. The worst part, however, was the €1,200 deposit. When I picked up the car, the man at the desk told me the deposit would be released within 5–10 business days of returning the car. When that time had passed, I called customer services and they told me it could take up to 28 days, so I waited patiently. After a month, I gave up and started communicating with my bank. It took another two calls and a week to get my money back (in the meantime, the conversion rate CZK->EUR had changed, so I lost another 50 EUR :D). So, if you don't want to spend a month in doubt and anxiety wondering if you'll ever see your money again, choose any company other than Sixt!
