SurPrice car rentals-Rijeka

We rented a car for 1 week from the city center in Rijeka. We had a great experience! The lady in the office (I think her name is Sam) was very helpful and kind. We had a very nice car for the week and there were no problems upon returning the car. We are actually renting from them again this week!

They will not return deposit even 1 days before agreement, no matter how strong you will please for it - on the other hand I respect they respect rules so strong:) Car & service perfect.

We booked a car online and paid for everything in advance. Once we got to the airport they asked for the credit card which we did not have (we only use debit cards). They did not accept the debit card nor money as collateral and simply said that they can't give us the car. They didn't care about our situation at all. We then went to the car rental company next to theirs (literally 3m away) and got a car using our debit card without a problem. I hope we will at least get our money back but I sincerely doubt it.

***WARNING SCAMMERS *** THEY KEEP YOUR DEPOSIT NO MATTER WHAT We rented a car for 10 days in Croatia and, following the company’s recommendation, we purchased full coverage insurance for an additional cost of €180, with the guarantee that it would cover any damage. Upon pickup, the vehicle was inspected, but the underbody was not checked. When we returned the car, we were informed of alleged damage in that area, and since it was not recorded during the initial inspection, the €500 deposit was withheld. We requested the insurance policy and its terms, but they refused to provide them, which prevents us from verifying whether the insurance we paid for actually offered any coverage. This lack of transparency leads us to believe that the insurance had no real validity, enabling them to improperly withhold the deposit. We consider this to be dishonest and unprofessional treatment, and we warn future customers about the lack of real protection and guarantees in case of issues. I hereby inform you that it is absolutely unacceptable and in very poor taste that you continue to profit from what is clearly a fraudulent scheme, targeting customers who purchase comprehensive insurance without ever receiving the corresponding policy or any documentation confirming such a contract. This practice is inadmissible and violates all regulations regarding transparency and consumer protection. The complaint has already been formally filed, both with the competent authorities in Croatia and with consumer protection organizations. Be advised that legal proceedings have commenced, and you will soon receive official notification regarding the status of the alleged contract, as well as the legal consequences arising from this situation.

Absolutely, the worst rental car company. First, they gave me a car with a bald tire that caused the TPMS light to illuminate. I had to have it replaced, which they reimbursed me for. The tire repair shop stated that this rental car company was notorious for doing things like this. The next day I asked to exchange the car for a different one, only to be offered a car with BOTH front tires bald and both the TPMS AND CHECK ENGINE light illuminated. Again, I refused and was offered nothing else. They actually tried to hit me with a EUR400 charge for a supposed scratch they accused me of making. Utter nonsense. I returned the vehicle and demanded a refund. They denied me saying I had to remedy that with Carjet (the website where you reserve vehicles). STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY. THEY ARE A SCAM!!!
