Lutar car rental

We rented a car from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. We picked it up in downtown Split and dropped it off nearby. The price was reasonable, the car was clean, and it fit seven people as we needed (even though the model was different in the end, it didn’t matter). We were able to communicate easily with the rental company via WhatsApp to arrange the return time and location. When we dropped off the car, they kindly offered to drive us back to the city, which we really appreciated. I highly recommend them!

We needed a car in Split to take to Plitvice Lakes National Park with Drop off in Zadar the next day. Despite it being a last minute request, the staff went out of its way to accommodate our request. They got us a new Corolla for a price hundreds less than other rental agencies, with no pressure to buy add ons or insurance, instead they accepted an authorization of 1400 euros on my credit card that they immediately removed at the return of the car. The agent who accepted the return was extremely friendly, and made a special trip from his home to meet us a the office. Once he discovered we were a twenty minute walk to our apartment, he gave us a ride, refusing any gratuity. It was a truly amazing experience.

Excellent people and excellent service. I will say - close your eyes, rent here. We were travelling with a baby and initially rented a car for 5 days. They even gave us free cross border travel. Unfortunately we had to cancel the rent after 1 day - they helped us all the way and refunded the unused days promptly. But, to get the best cars - reserve in advance. Also, parking in split city center area was a nightmare. So be careful about that. Thank you Lutar for accommodating all our requests and helping us.

We rented a Volkswagen here for 2 days and it went perfectly! The car was clean and had zero issues, and they clearly marked where any prior damage (small scratches) was. No hidden fees, and we liked that they had a full insurance option. The car was also very energy efficient, so we only had to top up the gas at the end of the 2 days. The employees who helped us were kind and helpful when we told them about our plans to drive to Bosnia & Herzegovina. They also allowed us to park in their lot, which saved us both money and time finding a lot within the city. I liked that it was easy to get to by being away from the narrow roads of Split’s city center. It was just a 15 minute walk back to our Airbnb. I would absolutely rent here again and would recommend it!

Great service. Due to my questionable parking skills and equally questionable parking regulations, our car was towed on our final night in Split with our flight and car rental drop off at the airport the next morning. After a sheer panic and a sprint to the city centre car rental office in the morning, they gave us a lift to the car pound on the edge of the city, after which we were able to get to the airport in time. Thank you!
