Very good service. Needed a Rentalcar while ours brokedown. Opened up for us on Sunday. ANWB organized it Nice and friendly employees of ANWB and Hertz many thanks

Fine car rental place. Closed from 12pm-2pm in weekdays. We rented a car for 5 days here with a different drop off. But noticed too late that the rental agreement said the wrong place and wrong date. We didn’t pay too much of a penalty. And it’s kind of my fault for not double checking everything before leaving.

Never again!!! The car was as good as new, the staff were friendly when I picked it up on Saturday and I returned it on the same day after the counter closed. On Sunday the surprise: I have to pay almost 300€ for a small damage to the rim (see picture). I am a careful driver and did not do any deliberate damage / did not touch any kerbs. I can't rule out the possibility that I caused the damage. However, I unfortunately only paid attention to the paintwork when I handed over the car. My questions: * almost €300 for the damage seems unreasonably high to me, almost outrageous * No normal garage in Germany works on a Sunday - how can the damage be accurately estimated in the morning? * Is it a coincidence that the amount of damage is almost identical to the deposit? * The staff are aware that I have additional insurance to cover the excess (I will have to check whether they will pay) Lessons learnt: * never use Hertz again ( there are similar comments here and on the internet), if I do: * check the paintwork and wheel rims carefully and take photos on collection. Have all damage (even the smallest) confirmed and photographed! * Only return the car in person * Everything is probably formally/legally correct and nothing can be contested - my feeling is nevertheless that the damage already existed or the amount of damage is unreasonably high.

This year, I rented a car from Hertz. We returned the car during the weekend, and afterward Hertz claimed there was damage. However, the photos they sent did not clearly show any damage. Despite this, they charged me and refused to refund what I believe was an unfair charge. I needed to seek legal assistance to recover my money. Based on this experience, I strongly do not recommend this Hertz location.

I had a terrible experience at this place. Do not rent cars here—they run scams. They claim that we damaged the car and charged a fee of EUR 392.97, but so far I have not been able to identify the supposed scratch they are talking about. We asked for more evidence, since the car was returned on a Sunday (2026/02/28) and the inspection was only carried out on Monday(2026/03/02), in our absence. Clearly, they can claim whatever they want, including using photos that show nothing, like the one below. BE CAREFUL — THESE GUYS ARE SCAMMERS.
