The office of Hertz in Lindau helper me to verify suspected damage caused during my rental from a different office. They chased down the other office and made sure to check correctly if the damage was present before. I appreciate the dedication of taking care for their customers and will be sure to rent Hertz Lindau again.

This is a very nice neighborhood location in Lindau. Overall I had a very good experience with the staff there. However I would like to caution others who are returning a car there, especially if they picked up the car at a different location. If you care about the car being inspected on your return and a final bill being issued to you I strongly suggest that you call this location in advance and verify their opening times and days. Hertz will allow returns here even if the location is closed. I was unfortunate to have a return scheduled while the lady who manages the office was on vacation. Imagine my horror of showing up at a small neighborhood house with a moderate size back yard and a Hertz lock box with no security cameras, no way of verifying that I returned the car and a sign that they will reopen in a week. In the end it all worked out but a simple phone call would have made things a lot simpler as I would have chosen a different return location. Note to Hertz, allowing returns at unsupervised location (for over a week), no matter how safe the neighborhood, is very unwise.
