After seeing a few bad reviews I was skeptical about hiring a car. I booked it online while in Iceland called down to collect the car was asked where I was planning on going and was advised against my journey due to the weather and the road conditions. The young girl was very helpful she said weather would be better and she could roll my reservation over till the next day and the weather was ment to be better. I took her advice and did that. So Monday morning I went back dealt with a gentleman who was fantastic informed me of the insurance to get extra 5.500isk but leaves you with no liability (take it) also asked us our plans explained I wanted to visit the south shore and we actually flying out later that day so had to be back for 4pm. He gave me information on the waterfalls said I’d have enough time and I pre paid for the fuel to save time and did only use what I paid for. You get vouchers for the petrol stations to grab free coffees he did the hand over and sent us on our way. Thanks to the staff we had the best last day of our holiday exploring the south shore and got back with time to spare. Car was good service was fantastic definitely will use again.

Great experience renting from Enterprise. Pick up and drop off went very smooth and fast. Staff was very friendly and the car was perfect.

They charged me 250,000 ISK( around 2000€) for the damage I took a picture of. Well, I accepted this, but when they promised me that within 2 months (60 days) they would calculate the repairs and send me the rest of the money, that was a huge lie! Three months have passed since then, I wrote them 5 emails , with out answer, they ignore me completely..

An appalling experience from start to finish. I was number 6 in a queue yet with two servers it still took over an hour to collect a pre-booked and paid rental. The rental car had over 75’000km on the clock and was quite tired including fogged up rear light lenses and a very noisy wheel bearings. When I returned the car I was told that there was a chip in the windscreen and I would be liable, I asked to be shown the damage and the employee struggled to even find it (not sure how I would’ve spotted it as a casual renter! I could barely even get a photo of it, it was that small) I was then told it was illegal to repair chips in Iceland and I would have to pay for a new windshield that would be in excess €400. All I can say is use this rental location and companies at your peril, especially if you’re hoping for a cheap and on time experience. The white spot in the photo is the “Irreparable” crack! EDIT: So after 3 years you reply and say that my review is valuable, what utter rubbish. AVOID AVOID AVOID
