Sorrento Trips

Both my brother and I each rented Vespas from Sorrento Trips to ride up and down the coast from Sorrento to Maiori. The online reservation process was easy, and we received confirmation that our reservation had been accepted. We showed up on time, and the staff completed our check-in. You’ll need to provide your drivers license (US is fine), a credit card, the name of the place you are staying locally, and fill out some paper work. After that, they will go over operation of the scooter/Vespa and have you take a quick spin around the parking lot to make sure you know what you’re doing - then you’re ready to go! Return was easy. Just bring back full (filling up is easy since all the local gas stations have attendants). The staff will check the scooter/Vespa to make sure there are no new scratches, and then release the credit card hold for 400€. They are careful to point out that the hold may show on your credit card for quite some time (it depends on your credit card company), but they do provide you with receipts that show release of hold. If you are comfortable on a scooter or motorcycle, I highly recommend using one to tour the coast. The traffic is pretty bad, and not being stuck in a car gives you lots of opportunity to maneuver through traffic. Shout out to Mick - he was very welcoming and a fellow Vespa fan!

We rented two scooters, a 125 and a 300 cc for the day, and rode from Sorrentto to Solerno and back with a few stops on the way. It was the most amazing experience! The Amalfi Coast is gorgeous! I wouldn't recommend this for inexperienced riders, though. This company was wonderful to work with.

Today we had Tony and Luigi pick us up from our hotel and take us along the amalfi coast and into Positano. It was one of the highlights of my mom and I’s Italy trip!! Both drivers made us feel safe and taken care of on the busy streets of the coastal road from Sorrento to Positano. They made stops along the way at gorgeous view points and allowed us time to explore and shop in Positano. We cannot recommend these Vespa tours enough!!!!
