Great experience renting from Blitz. We came without a reservation on Sunday and got great service, friendly staff, and quality Honda and Yamaha scooters. We most likely would have gone for motorcycles, but, no surprise, they were rented out. Therefore, a reservation in advance is recommended. Helmets where clean, gloves comfy, keyless ignition and access to storage is so much convenient, deposit was returned right after inspection. Exploring the islend and easy parking is fun. The best car rental experience I've ever had! We rented a KIA SUV automatic for three weeks while hiking around Madeira – and everything was simply perfect. Communication & Service: - WhatsApp communication was incredibly easy and uncomplicated throughout - When we asked to return the car an hour earlier (early morning), they confirmed quickly Dino was already waiting at pickup, ahead of time, with a smile - At return, Dino and Martin were already there at the airport, greeting us with a smile What impressed me most: Dino spent more time inspecting the car for us at pickup than they did checking it at return. That says everything about their priorities – they genuinely care that YOU get a perfect car, not about finding issues afterwards. I am still blown away, as I have had very different car rental experiences before.. The Car: - Brand new condition, only 12,000 km, exactly what we booked - Automatic was a blessing on Madeira's mountain roads - Plenty of power for steep climbs, reliable on every terrain - We took full coverage insurance – recommend it for peace of mind Bottom Line: Dino and Martin were incredibly warm yet professional. It felt like having local support, not just a rental company. My partner and I are thrilled – didn't think car rental could be this positive. I had a great experience renting a scooter from BlitzRent in Madeira! The staff were extremely helpful, friendly, and had a great sense of humor, which made everything even more enjoyable. The scooter was in excellent condition and had very low mileage, which gave me extra confidence while driving. What I appreciated the most was their professionalism during the handover — they took detailed photos of every part of the scooter and sent them to me right away. I found this very important and reassuring. Overall, everything was smooth and stress-free. I would definitely choose them again without a second thought!
