Our first rental with Sixt. We rented two cars in Bled, and returned them a week later at the Ljubljana airport. Even though we set up our pickup to happen early Sunday evening (i.e., outside normal business hours), the Sixt meet and greet location was totally ready for us. The rental process was straightforward and organized. Mladen, the gentleman at the office, was very helpful and efficient. My only suggestion is the orange "hut" at the airport where you do the drop off needs to be better marked. We did not rent from the airport, so we were not at all familiar with the Sixt office when we dropped off the cars at the airport, and had some trouble finding it. Also, I had some questions for Sixt before I made the rental reservation. It was great that Sixt customer service for Slovenia has their own email address, and they respond very quickly to emails. I was very impressed with the service.

Five stars, not because I loved it (which is, I feel, a bit of an extreme reaction to returning a hire car) but for the sheer convenience of having a facility in Bled to give the car back. Helpful staff who also arranged a taxi for us the next morning.

Very helpful staff. We had a problem with our own car, which had to be taken to a repair shop. To avoid losing a whole day, we decided to use Sixt’s services. Even though we had not booked a car in advance and simply walked in, we received a vehicle in less than an hour. The employee who assisted us was extremely helpful and professional. He also offered us the possibility of extending the rental over the phone, without needing to visit the office again, in case the repair of our car took longer than expected.

The rental car had many damages when I picked it up, the damages seemed to be well documented in a long list, and the (unfriendly) employee just said „it’s all documented“. So I just took pictures from each side and started driving. Upon return, the (same) employee immediately lies underneath the car and points out some minor scratches underneath the front bumber (10cm), but for the supposedly new small scratches underneath I received a bill of 640 € (!!). In the past, I have often rented from Sixt at various locations without problems, but at least the branch in Slovenia I will avoid in the future.

Rented a car from Sixt Bled and was pressured to take extra insurance at pickup. After returning the car at Ljubljana Airport, Sixt later claimed scratches that were not present at drop-off—I even have timestamped video proof showing the car was clean. Their claims team ignored the evidence and proceeded with charges. Would strongly advise avoiding Sixt or recording every inch of the car (especially at return) if you rent from them.
