Isle of Man Motorcycle Adventures

We contacted Mike several weeks about touring the Isle of Man with him on one of his bikes. From our first email correspondence he was great to work with! He provided us with several lodging options, we made reservations at the Welbeck in Douglas. He picked us up right on time and had a great selection of helmets, gloves and textiles that we could use!! We met his wife (Shiela) and she was great!! The bikes were immaculate and perfect for the narrow winding roads. The ride and scenery was more than we expected!! I would highly recommend choosing Mike’s services while on the island.

I did the 1 day guided tour with Mike on the Sunday after this year’s Classic TT had finished, which was great as the roads were a lot quieter. Mike and his wife Sheila were so welcoming and helpful in getting everything ready for the day. I was traveling on my own from the US and so wanted to have a local guide to ride along with. They also have spare motorcycle helmets and other gear to borrow should you need any (which was very convenient as it was raining that morning and I needed waterproofs and a different jacket than the one I brought.) The bike was perfect; I was very comfortable on the CB500F and it made the tour all the more enjoyable. I’d been to the island several times prior for the TT, but never got the chance to hire and ride a motorcycle there (also wanted to avoid large crowds during the TT period.) Riding along the TT course was always something I’ve wanted to do and this tour (with incredible scenic routes and stops along the way) was one of the highlights of this trip to the island. Had a brilliant day out riding, I would definitely do this again!

Wife hired a bike as a surprise for me for my birthday. It was very easy for her to create that with this company. Arrived to a lovely Yamaha Trace and some great advice of places to explore. The kit we borrowed was in great condition and it was a great experience for us both as we took in the TT course a week before it all kicked off and enjoyed the West coast from Peel south. The perfect way to enjoy this lovely island. Would highly recommend.

I was incredibly lucky rent from Mike! I called the day I arrived asking if he had a cancellation and got extremely lucky! I got tracer 900 which was in great shape, very reliable and a great fit for the bumpy roads I find myself on as repositioned to see different spots on the course. But the biggest reason I’m happy I was able rent the bike was to experience the beauty of the Island. It’s is peaceful beautiful place. The TT brings high prices but I think Mike is more reasonable than most! Couldn’t recommend him more highly. What an experience!
