Graham accommodated me for a scooter mot despite v short notice, and quickly had me back on the road. Gave advice on where to locate a garage serving E5 fuel, and took the time to chat and advise even though it was obvious that this was a very busy time for him this morning. I always mot and tyre up my scooter here as I enjoy looking around both modern and classic models being worked on and also for sale. The staff are scooter enthusiasts, not just scooter mechanics.

Can’t recommend the guys at Cornwall Scooter Centre highly enough. Straight talking, knowledgeable and friendly. Husband delighted with his delivered birthday present - much better than socks he reckons!

For my experience with Cornwall Scooter Centre, I couldn't have had a more unprofessional encounter. I called in advance about a unique bike that I wanted serviced and MOT'd so it could be roadworthy. Part of the reason I chose this company was the outstanding reviews and clean, inviting website. I told them I would be in Cornwall until October and was looking for a company that could get it ready so I could enjoy exploring Cornwall over the summer. They explained that it was no problem and they would be happy to help. I called on the 24th of July, and they said to drop the bike off the next week, and they would have a look at it. 31st July Dropped the bike off. 6th August I called to check on progress and asked if there was an update. They said the mechanic was not in and to call back on the 9th. 9th August I called back and spoke to the mechanic. He mentioned that he had been very busy and would look at it that week, so I should call back in a week's time. 16th August I called again, and the mechanic said, "Listen mate, to be honest, I've only spent an hour on it. We've been really busy." I suggested that if it was easier, I could take it elsewhere as I wanted it ready for the summer. Another man in the background said they would look at it over the next few days and have an update for me. 22nd August I called to check on the progress again, and the response I got was that they wouldn’t get around to working on it because of the upcoming bank holiday. I mentioned that someone had said they would look at it before the holiday. We agreed I would call back for an update after the bank holiday. 27th August I called to ask for an update, and the response I received was, "It's been the bank holiday, we haven't been here, that's the update." He then said he would look at it that week, but they'd need to order a special part for it. How did he know he needed to order a part if he hadn't looked at it? At this point, I thought, fine, I’ll give them until the 3rd of September. 3rd September I called and asked, "Hi, did you manage to look at the bike?" The mechanic responded, "No, we've had MOTs, services, and breakdowns to deal with." I said, "I don’t want to be rude, but you've had the bike for nearly six weeks, and every time I’ve called, there’s been an excuse. If you were too busy, you should have just said, and I would have happily taken it elsewhere." The mechanic responded with, "Well, you should just ******* go somewhere else then." Hangs up... very professional. I called back, spoke to someone else, and said I would come to collect the bike on the 5th. When I got there, the gentleman grabbed my bike and handed me part of the kick plate, which had broken off. I asked, "How did this break?" "Oh yeah, it must have been about to fall off anyway," he replied. I responded, "So, not only have you had the bike for six weeks and spent just one hour looking at it, but now you’ve handed it back to me more broken than it was when I brought it in." The worker just shrugged. I said that this was the worst experience I’ve ever had, and although I’m sure they’re great with regular 50cc bikes, the lack of communication and the fact that my bike was returned damaged was enough for me to write this review. To summarise, there are a lot of great reviews for this company, and if you have a regular bike, I’m sure they probably do a good job. But if your bike is even slightly different or unique, I wouldn’t waste your time, as it doesn’t seem to be a priority for them.

I had my Vespa px Waiting for a few little finishing jobs and check the engine before starting as this was built elsewhere. My scooter was left outside in all weather and by the time they decided to start work, all I got was excuses and they didn’t build the engine and everything that could be wrong was. 3 times I went back to fix my clutch that obviously wasn’t correct the first time. I said from the start if it’s no good get a bgm no they know best. Apparently they don’t as soon as they fitted the bgm clutch I was off until the woodruff key sheared. That was the final straw and went to a different garage where the staff were a little more accommodating and not so condescending. Extremely disappointed to spend £1800 with these guys with no paperwork or receipts. The lesson here is don’t try and be accepting of this it’s still affecting me 2 years on. Not opening my mouth and saying I want my scooter back. 18 months and £1800 that’s a lot of time and money. Mechanics and I use the word very loosely as they couldn’t prepare a Vespa px to ride away in 18 months is truly unacceptable. If there’s a word that sums up my experience here is arrogance.
