Jack's was the simplest car hire experience ever. Being met at buds station and subsequently at train station made it so easy. But the clincher for me was the way Chris dealt with the tyre problem in weekend Ullapool - caused by me! He calmly - and I wasn't too calm! - directed me to an economical solution with his mate Kamahl. Thank you so much. It was an excellent car too.

Absolutely fantastic service from beginning to end, excellent communication prior to collection, we were met at the train station both ways with no problems at all, the car was very good too, would not hesitate to use this company again and would recommend them 100%, the price and excess was also really good.

We're very glad we rented with Jack's. We did our research and could tell from the glowing reviews that this was the company to book with. While there are many competing national companies locally, once you add on all the extras like mileage and a second driver, Jack's works out to the same price for a better experience. We were met at the train station by the team, and they had the car there waiting for us. The VW Polo was brand new! I bet we were among the first to drive it. We had absolutely no issues, but we felt reassured that if we did, based on other customer reviews, we would have been quickly supported. Dropping the car back off after three days was just as easy. We could have parked at the train station, but we decided to drop it off at their main office a five-minute drive away, and a very friendly staff member drove us back to the station. We’d highly recommend Jack's.

We were unable to arrange a car rental because the company never responded to our initial request or any follow-up messages. Communication was completely nonexistent, so we had to use a competitor instead.

We wanted to support a local company and we were attracted by this company's previous positive Google reviews. However our experience was very different because we received no response to our initial enquiries (online, email and phone) and our attempts to chase up a response to our enquiries. We eventually managed to speak to someone by calling just after 8am, but despite promising to email us the details, we heard nothing further. We gave up and arranged car hire with a different company instead. We hope this communication issue is a temporary glitch.
