Second City Scooters

I recently visited Second City Scooters for the first time, and I can’t say enough great things about my experience. I initially came in just to pick up a helmet, but Vince, the owner, along with George and Jorge, were incredibly helpful in pointing out that my tires were rotting and I was due for an oil change. Vince and the entire team were patient and informative, answering all my questions and helping me understand more about my scooter. Their customer service was top-notch, and I felt completely confident in leaving my scooter with them for the repairs. While waiting for my scooter, Vince took the time to walk me through the entire process and gave me some great advice on how to maintain my scooter. I’ll definitely be returning for future work, including getting my brakes done and any other scooter needs that come up. If you’re looking for knowledgeable, friendly, and professional scooter mechanics in Chicago, I highly recommend Second City Scooters!

Vince and his mechanic are the best in town. They wont bs you and try to upsell. I did not buy my scooter there, but all the work is done at SCS. Tune-ups, carb replacement, coils, tires… all. I truly trust those guys and it’s the only shop in Chicago I will ever do business with. I 100% recommend SCS.

They are active in the Scooter community AND they know how to fix scoots. Recent repair services to my BMS- Zhen 150 were great! Service work was on time and on budget. They got my baby back, baby back on the road! Best to call or make an appointment as their hours can vary.

Me and SCS go waaay back. My first scooter (not purchased here) was a hunk of junk, but that didn’t stop Vince on fixing it. I later sold that scoot and Vince was by my side helping me through the searching and buying process. 10 years later, I’m buying my second scooter through the same place and working with the same trusty owner. Vince is a great dude. You can tell he loves his job and loves talking scoots. He remains completely neutral on his advice and won’t force you into a sale. He’s patient and answers as many questions you may have. The shop itself is super clean, the prices are fair, there’s absolutely no pressure, the staff is knowledgeable and friendly, and most stuff can be booked through the site… so very convenient! Don’t skip this place up. Go on over and check out the two wheels they have on hand. Do a test drive. And find your dream scoot!

Vincent didn't charge me a diagnostic fee or storage fee for the scooter... but refused any kind of work on it. He helped me push the scooter to a safe location away from the storefront and it will reside there until next service. Totally professional and considerate interactions. Will do business again.
