Said it before, say it again. If you need to generate some cash and trust most all other bikers. List your bike here on RS app. Trustworthy group running this site. I seen all the negative reviews about insurance and lengthy check in n out routines. I just cover my ass. Customer support is literally a click away with an honest reply. Do your homework don't rent an old POS. Look for something new(er) See what HD charges Eek Check RS out. I was skeptical too. I learned to NOT do 1 or 2 day rentals but, after a few great long distance renters. I'm sold and respect the staff behind the website Great Job RS staff

Bikes and bike owners are great. Riders Share itself, though, seems to be a fee and insurance company... So actual costs are always double the advertised rate.

I have had great experience renting my bike to others and thankfully have not had to use the claims process I just tried to rent a bike for myself and horrified to see insurance charges being so high. It is clear They make money off of selling insurance only and they don’t give a rats ass about the renter or rentee.

The concept is great, but the execution with Riders Share makes the experience far more complicated than it needs to be. The fees are noticeably high, and the check-in/check-out process is slow, repetitive, and overly demanding. It took far too long before I could even leave, and the same lengthy routine was required at return. Renting a motorcycle should feel streamlined and efficient — not like completing a checklist marathon. After going through this once, I’d honestly rather put that time and money toward owning another bike instead of renting through this platform again.

I’ve rented with Riders Share before and had a good experience, but my most recent rental exposed how unfair their dispute process really is. When the owner filed a claim, the first “estimate” of damages came within just a few dollars of my deductible — suspicious at best. I then had to spend nearly two weeks piecing together evidence to prove much of the claimed damage was pre-existing. Only some items were then removed from the claim once I did all the work to prove them false, but even then they ultimately charged me $1,500+ for damages that were unwarranted. The process felt entirely like guilty until proven innocent and Riders Share’s “arbitration” was a total joke. Most concerning, their final response included a warning that escalating the matter would “only add further expenses” for which I’d be responsible. That is not neutral arbitration — it is borderline extortion meant to pressure renters into silence. Riders Share works fine when everything goes smoothly, but if there’s a dispute, renters should know they face a biased process that offers little protection. There are better platforms to choose from.
